Christmas was great. The night before, my Grandma beat us in Pictionary. The day of, my brother came down from Santa Barbara, we opened presents, and we ate a ton of food.

As for presents I got a sock monkey hat, 2 pairs of pajamas, a large multiple picture picture frame, a pea coat, and some money which I used to buy my new camera. Had a great holiday. Can't wait until next year. Sadly, the vacation is coming to an end.

I do love me some Christmas...

Well, like every year, I got a bunch of art supplies for Christmas. A pad of canvas sheets and two canvas' along with acrylic paint and brushes! I'm happy about what I got, but I put lots of thought into my X-mas list this year. I asked for a typewriter, Oxford shoes, little colored glass bottles (to hang from my ceiling), Nike pants, and art supplies. I got art supplies. It's all good in my hood though.
... I figure it's the season to be thankful:)

Christmas Joy

Okay. So I got a bunch of sweet new things for Christmas.

1. 365 Days Creative Journal - Amazing inspirational book that give 365 suggestions on things to make everyday for a year. Their blog is http://makesomething365.blogspot.com/

2. Three MoleSkin sketchbooks - Fantastic for lil sketches.

3. "An Illustrated Life" by Danny Gregory - I love this guy because he sketches and watercolors. He is my inspiration and my favorite artist. He put together a book of his and many other artists' sketchbooks for public display. Great stuff. Check out his blog at http://dannygregory.com/

How was everyone's Christmas? I want to see some blogposts on all the artsy stuff you guys are doing for the break. Hit me up!

The Lobster Law

The hammer's coming down! I think we should start organizing this bad boy. I talked to Dyana, and we want to assign people to doing posts every day or so. Basically, just so we can obtain the art-blog goal of this blog. I don't know how much I have to say... but comment with ideas please! What kind of visions do you have?

Sing-Off

MY soft spot for Glee Clubs, although I don't watch Glee. Anyone watching the Sing-Off on NBC?

That Afternoon

And the second video. My bro is in this one. Like it?

Yeah, so today I decorated cookies for Winter Faire for Art Club. Hali, you were the only one missing.

Stephen Wiltshire.; phenomenal artist

Stephen Wiltshire.
This young artist is grabbing a lot of attention by the likes of CBS and other national news outlets. Stephen has been drawing cities since being diagnosed with autism at a young age, saying it’s his way to express himself. What’s unique about this artist though is that all he needs is a 20 minute helicopter ride above New York and after 7 days, 12 pens, and a lot of music on his ipod, he finishes the massive 18 ft accurate depiction of the city all from memory. He’s so accurate that when drawing Rome, he drew the exact number of columns in the Pantheon. His work is being shown at Brooklyn’s Pratt Institute along with his permanent gallery in the Royal Opera Arcade, Pall Mal.

Today is a Winner

I helped my aunt out at an arts and crafts gig. I made friends with two sisters that go to El Sobrante Christian. They were absolutely silent at the start of the workshop, but I taught them how to emboss stamps and they freaked out and chilled out. We talked about everything and they were really sociable. I found out that I don't hate kids today. They're all right creatures.

Oh and I missed Hadley's Birthday so I feel like a butt. Not literally. Gross.

I WILL finish APUSH and feel amazing. Now let's just start.
